What is a Medical Coder?

Medical Coding is the process of translating a healthcare provider's documentation of a patient's encounter into a series of numeric or alphanumeric codes.
Is Class face to face or virtual?

All classes are held virtually. Weekends and Weeknights, if applicable. Classes are Saturday's from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
Do you travel for Face to Face ?

There is a small fee for travel depending on location?
What if I miss a class?

EMC stays on schedule for the duration of the 12 week program. If you miss a class ad would like a review, there will be a small fee to go back to review. We encourage all students, to ensure their commitment when signing up.
Are there breaks during class?

Throughout the duration of the class, we will take 15 to 20 minute breaks.

What is included in the tutition?

EMC runs quarterly specials. See the rate during that time.
How do you pay?

EMC accepts several types of payment. you may pay online directly from the website.

What form of payment to sign up?

There is a 50% deposit (non-refundable) to secure your position in class. EMC does have a payment plan, if applicable. Speak to administration. All payments in FULL are WELCOMED!
