Latricia Bass has served the medical field in corporate America for 23 years. She sought out her journey as a medical assistant and realize she wanted more. She was able to have hands-on experience throughout the office and learned every aspect of how to serve her company in all capacities. She continued her education and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Her passion to support and encourage others to grow skillfully in the field of healthcare was the beginning of the "essentials" needed in the industry. She identified how the lack of the need for medical doctors to have a medical coder to capture all the revenue they worked hard for was slipping through the cracks. She continued her education to become a Certified Professional Coder. Her zeal did not stop there, due to her passion to see others win, she became an Approved Certified Instructor with AAPC, American Academy for Professional Coders, the world's largest training and credentialing organization for the business of healthcare. Her mission is to teach and train individuals in the healthcare field to be of the highest standards for providers worldwide as an essential worker. This is where Essential Medical Coding, LLC was birthed.
